Roller doors and shutters for businesses

Protecting your business when nobody is there

Shops, offices and small units are most at risk at night and at weekends. A commercial roller shutter covers your doors and windows with a solid barrier that's hard to get through.

During the day, the same shutter rolls away out of sight. It needs to look smart and work reliably, because you'll be opening and closing it every day.

We'll help you choose a door that suits your building, your budget and the way you trade.

Benefits

Why choose our commercial roller doors?

Strong security

Steel or aluminium slats, solid locking and anti-lift features protect your stock and premises out of hours.

A smart frontage

Choose a colour that suits your branding or shopfront, so the building still looks good with the shutters down.

Warmer premises

Insulated roller doors help keep heat in, which staff and customers notice in the colder months.

Quick to open up

Electric operation means opening up and locking up take seconds, without anyone lifting a heavy shutter.

Which commercial roller door do you need?

Solid security shutters

Solid shutters give the most protection and suit premises with valuable stock, rear doors and service entrances.

Perforated shutters for shopfronts

Perforated slats have small holes, so passers-by can still see your window display at night while the shop stays locked.

Insulated roller doors

If staff work close to the door, or you need a steady temperature inside, insulated slats are worth considering.

Electric or manual

Small openings that are used once or twice a day can work well with a manual shutter. For larger doors or busy premises, electric operation is much easier.

Insurance, planning and safety

Some insurers ask for shutters tested to a recognised standard such as LPS 1175, so check with yours before you order. External shutters on shopfronts may also need planning permission. Our guide on why businesses invest in secure roller shutters covers both in more detail.

Our commercial installation process

We visit to measure up and talk through how you use the building. Once you're happy with the quote, your door is made to size and we agree a fitting date. Let us know your opening hours and we'll do our best to plan around them. We work with businesses across the UK, and you can see the main areas we cover here.

Keeping your shutters reliable

A shutter that sticks or fails can stop you opening on time. Regular servicing and maintenance keeps it running smoothly and spots wear before it becomes a problem.

Common questions about commercial roller doors

Do roller shutters need planning permission?

Shutters fitted outside a shopfront often do, especially in conservation areas. Internal shutters are less likely to. Check with your local council before you go ahead.

Can you fit a shutter without closing my shop?

Tell us your opening hours when you ask for a quote and we'll do our best to plan the fitting around them.

Can shutters help with insurance?

They can. Good physical security may help you get cover or better terms. Some insurers ask for a specific security rating, so check with yours first.
